Hot-chamber die casting, the more popular process, is where the cylinder chamber of the injection mechanism is completely immersed in the chamber of molten metal. The cold chamber process is similar except cold chamber the melted metal is automatically fed or ladled by hand into the injection system. Each process has benefits, For example, cold chamber is commonly used for casting aluminum or aluminum alloys due to the high melting temperature.
